University of Venda

Overview

In 2021, the University of Venda (Univen) tasked a design team to take forward a planning process for the future development of the Thohoyandou Campus in Limpopo.

The main landholdings of the University falls into the Thohoyandou Campus on a site approximately 210ha in size. It is embedded within the town of Thohoyandou. The campus development takes up an approximate 63ha of land. As the campus continues to grow, so too does the University’s presence, and with that growth comes the increasingly important role it plays within its local and regional settings, thus making the relationship between the University and the City crucially important.
